U.S. Rep. Austin Scott (R-Tifton) was unopposed* in November. I mapped his re-election by the share of ballots cast he received in each precinct and mapped the gubernatorial election within his district by vote share. #gapol
*Technically, there was a write-in candidate, James L. Cooper III, who is affiliated with the Green Party. Cooper received 564 votes districtwide…I don& #39;t know for sure, but based on the counties where I do have info, that& #39;s probably about 5-9% of the total write-ins.
I unfortunately don& #39;t have a precinct shapefile for Irwin, which redrew its precincts completely for the 2018 election, so it& #39;s displayed countywide, but none of its three precincts dropped below the ≥70% R range in either race.
For what it& #39;s worth the first map in this thread is actually more accurate because Irwin County erroneously assigned almost all of its early votes to one precinct.
