changed my ringtone to being pink noise (ramped up/down to avoid transients) and it’s non-annoying and super easy to locate where it’s coming from (since correlation of a noise sequence with delayed versions of itself has much less peaks than for pure tones or mostly-pure tones)

signals composed of a handful of pure tones create more spurs than a cowboy convention in all those integrate-and-dumps, but noise-ish signals tend to have few sharp peaks:
