I got @JohnDubyaUK a 100 movie bucket list for Xmas (actually 104 with 2 trilogies on the list) and Iâm starting a thread of each movie when we watch them!
We scratched off the first film tonight which was Jaws - one weâve both seen before. Brilliant portrayal of Brody, Hooper and Quint. Love this film

Film 2... Mary & Max. Neither of us had seen this or knew anything about it. Such a beautiful and stylised film that had me belly laughing one second and was pulling on my heart strings the next! A complex and well written story that left me in tears.
Film 3: a classic horror that Iâve never seen or knew much about. Amazing cast and an incredible story. Fabulous!
Film 4: This is Spinal Tap. I knew some references from pop culture, but this is such a funny film. One to probably watch again to catch the more subtle jokes, but easy to see why it is a classic from its time!
Film 5: The Matrix. Now I know where all the memes originate
https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đ" title="Winking face" aria-label="Emoji: Winking face"> Although I knew what the story was so I wasnât surprised at the plot, I was surprised at how fun and enjoyable this was. My mind has been freed.
Film 6: The Silence Of The Lambs. After spending days watching stuff about Chris Watts and the Netflix series on Ted Bundy, watching this was right up our current theme. I went into it not knowing anything (except a couple of quotes), and it wasnât what I expected. LOVED IT ALL!
Film 7: this was the first Bond film I ever saw the whole way through when it originally came out, and I loved it. I still enjoyed this many years later, and makes me want to watch all the Daniel Craig films all over again. (Also did an oopsie and caught the side of ghostbusters)
Film 8: Airplane! Hadnât seen this since I was a child, and it still holds up as such a hilarious comedy, where the jokes donât get stale even when repeated throughout. Surely is a 10/10 and well deserved to be on the list (and donât call me Shirley)
Film 9: Monty Pythonâs Life of Brian. Watched it in Wales so long ago! So funny, not a first watch for me but didnât remember half of it! Classic comedy and still relevant in this day and age.
Film 10: American Psycho. Never seen this or knew much about it, just knew of the gifs and memes. Bale is an outstanding actor, and was absolutely convincing. Will have to watch again and will be thinking of what happened near the end though it all got crazy!
Film 11: 12 Angry Men. If someone had said this whole film was basically one long argument I probably would never have watched it or been interested... I was absolutely hooked the whole way through. Brilliantly written and shot with amazing acting throughout! 10/10
Film 12: the Truman Show. What a cracking film! Still amazing since the first time I watched it. Absolutely nails human behaviour and the question of our existence.
Weâd watched a little while ago a couple of films on our top 100 list and it wasnât until looking today that I realised I hadnât posted them on this thread

Film 13: The Evil Dead. Not my favourite horror film but was quite funny just with the outdated special effects. Hadnât seen this before but can see why itâs iconic.
Film 14: The Shining. I love this film so much. Canât even tell you how many times Iâve watched it now
