Ok so i was supposed to been did this like 6 months ago, but here are the books i suggest everyone reads to get u started or further your journey to consciousness. If u have more, let me know. Books with a (*) i haven& #39;t read yet
This should probably be the very first book u read as an introduction to the psychology behind why we are the way we are.
Then this to get a clear picture of how the "justice" system works, and a historical background of how it got to this point.
Then check this one out. Some points i didn& #39;t agree with, but a lot of it is on point as far as media& #39;s influence on behavior.
I aint saying to read em in order, but those are pretty much introductory books in my opinion. Now I& #39;m just gonna post em and if u wanna know what its about ask me.
Probably the most important book i read simply because i didn& #39;t know so much of this information.

A political autobiography. I& #39;d suggest u watch his speech on collectivism vs individualism. I& #39;ll add youtube links later.
The first literature i read that makes a case for abolishing prison. I gotta get more into that subject (so please suggest more) but this is a great start.
Real quick, probably read that^^^^^ after The New Jim Crow while the subject of criminal justice reform is fresh on your mind
Highly suggest u read this, or watch any of her lectures on youtube under the same name. As always, the book does have extra information that sometimes gets left out of the lectures
A very very important book in understanding how we are all (not the 1%) at a disadvantage from start to finish under the system of capitalism.

Ok the rest of these i have not read yet but are sitting in my cart on amazon. Most of these are required reading from what i seen from various sociologists/scholars/educators
Dr. Amos Wilson is one of my favorite scholars simply cause his way to simplify and break down our complex psychological problems in a way we can all understand. Haven& #39;t read the books, only speeches on YouTube i seen.
