Before my life-changing lesson about #Boundaries from @MaS1banda , I had lots and lots of friends

After the lesson, I have 10 people that I call friends https://twitter.com/_miss_lindah/status/1086441529382748160
#Boundaries - who is what in your life?

Once you've put people in the right group, life changes for the better!
#Boundaries

• Family - divided into close and distant relatives

• Friends - most of us throw this word around loosely, and then we get hurt when so-called friends do things to us that we wouldn't do to them. The moment I relegated people, their actions towards me hurt less
• Acquaintances - this category is where most people in our lives are chilling. We call them "friends" but actually they're not. They're acquaintances.

Your workmates are acquaintances, tweeps are acquaintances, fellow gym bunnies are acquaintances, etc.

#Boundaries
I remember when someone told me that we were actually NOT friends but mere acquaintances ... I hadn't had the #Boundaries lesson from OT so I was SO shocked.

Afterwards, I was like that person was correct

Vele we aren't friends, we are mere acquaintances
Tsheli - a member of my framily, took this lesson a step further. I was in #London and considering relocation. We got chatting about #Boundaries and she added another element to help me decide who belongs where.

"Who would you shed tears for?"
Now that question took me by surprise!

Who am I going to cry over?

• Family - close relatives

• Framily - yes

• Friends - yes

Acquaintances and Periphery - nopety-nope

I saved SO many tears in 2018 after this!

#Boundaries

Fantastic lesson. Has changed my life. Put everything and everyone into the right place - especially social media people. A large part of my professional and personal life is spent on social media. Very easy to blur boundaries and have blind spots about people
#Boundaries

Now I know who is who and who belongs where. Has saved me time, energy, and tears. I have more time to focus on helping people, securing the bag, and having fun

❤️❤️❤️
When I decide how I'm going to respond to a person, I ask myself:

"Zviya munhu uyu ari chii pa nyama ye huku?"

If you're not a drumstick or a thigh, I'm moving right along!
