the red album deserved a grammy and the fact that she was not only snubbed but was also used to create drama when they said “rrrrrandom access memories” is so disrespectful and downright rude.

i agree that red may not have been the most “sonically cohesive” album, but i think she explains that when she said that the album explodes the “crazy” emotions that are the very ends of the spectrum.

those emotions don’t feel the same so they wouldn’t sound the same either. and when they all come together, they tell a story. this is a breakup album. breakups are messy.

this album is about a period of healing growth, neither of which are linear!!!! that’s why it makes total sense that a song like all too well can be in the same album as stay stay stay or we are never ever getting back together.

taylor literally took all the raw emotions of a breakup and split them up into different songs to create the bigger picture. this album is a process, just like a break up is.

even the songs that didn’t make the album are incredible and also fit into the picture. better man? babe? i mean????

red deserved more and i will keep saying this probably until i die.
