People always ask me why I decided to up and leave and relocate to South Africa. I couldn't stay in Botswana after my second rape. I needed a fresh start somewhere. First assault I didn't report (thats how I lost my virginity), and then second incident was May 14 2016 by Phetogo.

This lil boy straight looked me in the eye in front of police officers at GWest police and said it was a two way thing and I agreed to it. And I was telling him which positions to do. When I didn't recall anything from that night but waking up and finding him on top of me

I took a rape kit and did the statements and went back again to write another status with him and his friends and never got feedback from the police or what the rape kit said. I've been the one to always follow up and ask how the case is going

Saw a lawyer friend of mine who wrote a letter to the GWest commissioner to ask why my case was said to be closed and why a rapist is still roaming the streets and he was told the case is still open.

Initially when I had confronted him to ask why he'd have sex with a person that's passed out he said "I'm sorry I didn't know whether you were awake or not". Imagine.

This is going to be year 3, with no feedback from the police or the labs. And yet he's relocated to Namibia or wherever living his best life. The person who always updated me ka the case is my aunt, she's the cid there. She was told she can't be part of the case cos we're related

The police were not even aware that he relocated. I had to mention it the last time I was home when I was following up ka the case

So my question is how long and how seriously are rape cases taken in my country?

Do we just swept it under the rug and let them have their way because they have a certain 'important' surname?

The police had told me that my statement doesn't make sense cos there was gaps. And that's because I didn't remember anything. Literally. Now this place where they apparently use girls is in phase 4 I think. They call it Disneyland

I've backed up every chat I had with his friends the day after, in case one day the court or police decide they'll give him what he deserves.

Anyway, I thought while we're speaking about rapists, I should let y'all know your cool boy is also one of them. He okay, sure he is. He's not been getting therapy and depressed over a rape case that keeps getting shut down for reasons knows by either him or the police
