A thread on my trip to Palestine šŸ‡µšŸ‡ø
The Holy Land Hotel, Jerusalem, And their staff were amazing, especially the food staff and housekeeping. Highly recommend staying here. Incl breakfast and dinner buffet with stay
The first time I visited Al Aqsa at Fajr time before prayer and after prayer. Iā€™ll never forget this moment. FM, fajr time is the best time to be inside the Al Aqsa compound.
Al Buraq wall and area where we believe our prophet (SAW) tied the buraq to this side and the wall built. The entire area around is also where he lead the prayer to the rest of our prophets. So every single prophet has prayed on this ground šŸ˜ā¤ļø
Al Aqsa is built on layers. Below the ground of Al Aqsa is leading to the chamber where Bibi Maryam (as) spent her entire time in worship.
Street art by Palestinians inside the gates of the Old City / Herrods Gate
The Dome of Rock. Essentially the big rock where our prophet (SAW) ascended to the heavens. The architecture and columns are the same circumference and the details are amazing šŸ˜© theyā€™ve built inside the rock so us Muslims can pray inside the rock.
The home and Kanaqa of Salaudin Ayubi. This place is owned and looked after by the family of Salaudin Ayubi for generations. The architecture is all preserved by himself and the Christians honoured him so much that they gave half of the holy Sepulchre church to his home.
Mount olive.
Also the place believed by Christians that Jesus had his last supper. Below is the grave yard for Jews which is their equivalent to our Jannatul Baqi.
The view is breathtaking. Holy Land.
On our way to Jericho. This is the land around the Dead Sea. The lowest point of earth where Lut /Lot (as) nation was destroyed.
Maqam e Musa (as) he stayed here for a short while outside of Jerusalem al Aqsa. We were blessed to go inside and hear the story as why he stayed here.
Tomb of Ibrahim/Abraham (as) and mosque of Ibrahim. Resides with him in the mosque is his wife Sara (as) and his son Ishaaq (as). This is shared with the Jews. The light from the opposite side is the Jewish side. Of course they have the better side with more to see šŸ™„
The imam of Masjid E Ibrahim and his son prayed and spoke with us. This was also the moment the Israelis# security decided to switch the lights on in the mosque bc they controlled. May Allah grant sabr to the Palestinians and West Bank.
Palestinian art šŸ‡µšŸ‡ø ā¤ļø
Maqam E Yunus (as) where he stayed for one year after being spat out of the belly of the whale. He recovered from his injuries and stayed at this spot.
The city of Bethlehem actually looks like a set šŸ˜ we have a masjid on one one side and a church on the other. Each Christians and Muslims living in peace amongst each other.
The church of Nativity. The holiest and oldest church for Christians to where they believe Jesus was born. Everything remains the same all because of Salaudin Ayubiā€™s order to preserve the architecture for the Christians.
Hearing the Maghreb Athaan from outside of the church, the atmosphere is amazing šŸ˜
The house of Ale Imran and birth place of Mary as believed by Christians.
The wailing wall to Jews.
The cave like compound owned by a strong Palestinian man and his fore fathers. He recently dug up his store and found passages and tunnels that take you to all the holy places in al Aqsa. The Jews currently willing to pay 31m but he will never give up on his land and sell.
The church of the holy Sepulchre, the second oldest church for Christians. This church is also preserved in its remains by Salaudin Ayubi.
Below this structure is the prison for Jinns dating back to the time of Suleman (as). Above is the golden gate that Jews believe the last messiah will walk through. Of course theyā€™ve blocked it up so no one can come through to prove a point šŸ˜‚šŸ˜©
The West Bank border wall which is full of Bansky art work and Palestinian art. Opposite the wall is the bansky pun hotel.
It has been the most amazing trip and I havenā€™t even seen or experienced a quarter of Palestine yet. May Allah grant us all to visit the third most holiest land. šŸ˜šŸ‡µšŸ‡ø
