i just watched big eden and even though there were some moments i wish had played differently (ie not so stilted) it was so wholesome and i resonated with it way more than i thought i would /5

okay ngl this movie triggered the fuck out of me and i did NOT have a good time /5 one rainbow each for the supportive gay dads and the 10sec happy ending

PRIDE (2014), which is about the queer community in London that supported the miners during the strike in the 80s.
Literally my cheeks hurt from smiling wtf. I'm so emo over this. Pls go watch. /5

starting with Maurice (1987) bc i will continue to preach the gospel of young hugh grant but as a butch lesbian.
gorgeous, moody as hell, some period-typical homophobia but a HAPPY ENDING. /5 have watched like six times

Automatic /5 for every outfit Kiera Knightley wears. Takes longer than expected to get to the gay shit. The turn of the century was FUCKING WILD.

alright at first God's own country seemed like it was just brokeback and CMBYM but with less likeable characters, but past the midway point the honesty of this very rough around the edge family got me emotional. heavy but I'd watch again. wish there was more lube. /5

4TH MAN OUT. can't stop laughing. over the top? a little. tropey? as hell. adorable and hilarious and corny? as FUCK and it's great. will absolutely watch again. bonus points for wholesome and accepting friends and family. /5.
