(THREAD) DEKU'S MORALITY.
So this is a thread were i explore deku's morality and thought process through the story.
Let's begin!
2 CONFLICTING SIDES.

"Truth has only one face, that of a violent contradiction" and Deku is full of contradictions in his actions, he has shown multiple times in the story, tendencies in reckless behavior.
Deku vs Muscular is a good example of this:
In a situation where he's forced to decide whether to run to save, or to fight to save Kota, 2 sides of him get in conflict with each other. Despite being a character that idolizes critical thinking, amidst a situation of danger he always chooses the irrational one.
Despite recognizing that he couldn't save Bakugou because of his lack of critical thinking, when AFO appears he starts making the same mistake and begins struggling with himself except this time he gets stopped by Iida.
If Iida hadn't stopped him, he would have put the other students into serious danger.
So what happens next? he learns his lesson....
...and makes the same mistake. AGAIN.
By refusing to cooperate with Mirio in order to secure the safety of Eri he INDIRECTLY puts both Mirio and Eri into a worse situation, making Overhaul only more wary.
By this point in time i just wanna clarify that NONE of his actions have ever been seen as "positive", in fact he always gets scolded or called out on this.
Deku has the tendency to treat other people's (Aizawa, All Might) advices as objective truths wich in turn narrows down his own set of values, and that may explain his lack of self confidence.
He acts before thinking, and he lets his own emotions get the upper hand. At USJ he discovers that the leaugue wants to kill All Might and yet, while thinking of a possible reason of why, flashbacks of All Might start running thru his head and in the end he REFUSES to think.
He acts this way ONLY when there are people that he cares about, what i mean is that: HE DOESN'T CARE, AND NEVER CARED ABOUT THE VILLAINS MOTIVATIONS, or i should say, he seems to fear understanding them.
why is this important? cause it's the reason why some villains want to destoy the society. as TWICE said: "THE PEOPLE THAT HEROES SAVE ARE ONLY VIRTUOUS PEOPLE". Yes, Deku does claim understanting Gentle and Stain's motivations, but that's only because they both had something_
_in common with him personally!
The reason i made this thread is to show people that in the future this aspect of Deku might turn againts him IN A VERY BIG WAY.

If you read everything to this point...well...i'm surprised but also thank you!
