So I'm about one third of the way through NECRO XIII's latest video and I already feel like it's the worst commentary of the year by far... And that's saying a lot considering I like Goblin Slayer AND disagree heavily with Mother's Basement in his video.

I'd actually go as far as to say it's as bad as the videos featured in @DprivedBisexual's "I don't wanna, the commentary" series, just with added spite from Necro. Literally his first interjection is just him complaining about MB's use of a disclaimer in his video.

He even says that the only reason MB even made the disclaimer in the first place was because he was compelled by Crunchyroll to do so. How far up your own ass do you have to be to assume that level of maliciousness from a fucking content warning.

It sickens me to think that this is Necro's attitude towards content warnings as, not only does it show his lack of care towards people with PTSD who may stumble across MB's video not knowing about the GS drama, but it also shows his lack of awareness towards negligence law.

And that's just his first point in Necro's video. He also interjects without trying to debunk anything, accuses MB of trying to stir controversy weeks after the drama had already subsided in order to capitalize on YouTube revenue somehow (1/8)

(Even though if that's what he was trying to do, he would've failed at it due to him being late to it), says he doesn't understand why people are criticizing GS, straw-mans MB by saying most people liked the show when MB said that many found it to be a bad first impression, (2/8)

Says that MB didn't regret making tweets saying GS was "repugnant" because people told him to read the source material WHICH MB DID, brings up tweets made after MB's video went up like he'd know that the video would have known that his video would be received so negatively, (3/8)

Call's MB out for calling some games trash when MB never said that, straw-mans MB again by saying that a scene at the end of SAO S1 was the same as the rape scene in E1 of GS when all MB said was that it was a worse depiction of sexual assault than the end of SAO S1, (4/8)

Tries to explain why they can't be compared when they are both still depictions of sexual assault, essentially says there can't be sexual assault in SAO because it is in a virtual world even though it could be just as traumatic as in real life specifically because it is VR (5/8)

(I mean in the scene in question, the antagonist specifies that there are virtual pain receptors in the VR world so they would also be able to feel someone sexually assaulting or raping them), (6/8)

Misses the point of why MB used the phrase "detrimental to the series" to describe GS's rape scene especially considering that hasn't made an attempt to explain why he would describe the scene that way, says MB is making arguments when he has only just finished his thesis, (7/8)

Add little to the conversation AGAIN and says that MB shouldn't complain about how the show is adapted because he has already read the source material even though that doesn't negate his assertion that GS's anime adaptation is poorly written. And that's just the first 8 minutes.

This is also neglecting the problems that exist before the video starts. The title of the video would suggest that MB hates GS when MB actually states in his video that he only finds the first episode to be bad.

Furthermore, Necro's video was created literally two days after MB's video was uploaded. IDK why Necro didn't decide to spend more time making this video. The only reason I could think of is that he wants to capitalize off of the drama.

But then again, I know for a fact that Necro doesn't monetize his content so I guess I'll scratch that off the list. Regardless, this shows that he hasn't taken @Doodletones's criticisms to heart, if the drama that happened in September wasn't indicative of that already.

I actually don't know if Necro even watched the video before deciding to commentate on it because a lot of his "better" points are explained away by MB later on in his video. At least in the first 8 minutes I watched.

I know this is a lot to ask from someone who hasn't made a single commentary as of yet, but can I just tag this video out to someone else that also actually cares about the improvement of other content creators? @EmptyBrooke, @Boonslayer, anyone?

I already have two videos on him in the works, a video about the GS drama as a whole that includes his video on Pedantic Romantic in the planning stages and multiple other projects I want to work on that don't involve Necro at all.

Okay, so I watched the rest of the video. It gets "better" - I found his point about MB's use of Psycho Pass as an example of a sexual assault handled well to be at least interesting - but the video from then on is still pretty bad.

And just so that we're on the same page as to how much "better" the video gets, he says that he's not going to continue to commentate on the video, and then continues on with commentating on the video. All he did was skip part of MB's video.

Please send help. I've been in the endless void that is Necro's content since April and I know too much about him as a content creator for it to be mentally healthy. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
