In case anyone wants to see the type of tweets Wheeler posts here are just four.
The first thing I did was track down the filing records for Triple Lock DC LLC the company he established in 2018. This led me to his full name 'Dylan Douglas Wheeler' and the names of his collaborators Desmond Tyler Janousek, Devin Janousek, and Chasen Wheeler.
After this I turned to a public records search and within minutes found all four mens court records. What caught my attention was Dylan Wheeler's ( @education4libs) 2014 assault conviction. It was for assaulting a police officer.
To find out more I paid for a draft transcript of Wheeler's court appearance. In it he pleads guilty to assaulting a female police officer.
I decided I needed to find out more about the events leading up the assault so I contacted the arresting police department. They provided me with a redacted police report which I have further redacted in the interests of privacy. (Content warning: talk of suicide and self harm).
The police report gave me pause for thought: Wheeler had obviously been going through a very difficult point in his life and I did not want to make light of this or dig up old wounds. I almost didn't include the assault but then I found out he showed no remorse for the attack.
The way I found out that Wheeler ( @education4libs) showed no remorse for his attack was by tracking down his secret twitter account ( @dwheelz9) on which he wrote about his assault saying: “I don't feel bad or crazy about doing it tho #fuckthesystem.”
Wheeler's ( @Education4Libs) secret twitter account also provided me a wealth of other information such as pictures of Wheeler discussing his heavy drug and alcohol use.
Dylan Wheeler's ( @Education4Libs) secret twitter account ( @Dwheelz9) also showed me that he used to have a very different approach to politics tweeting out Noam Chomsky quotes, calling for a revolution, and attacking the rich and capitalist system.
Wheeler ( @Education4Libs) also posted Tweets attacking the US government, police, and Christianity on the secret account.
One thing that hasn't changed is his Democrat bashing. While Obama was still president Wheeler tweeted that he wished Obama would die/get killed at least twice.
I also discovered many other tweets that Wheeler ( @education4libs) posted on his secret account which gave me pause for thought including ones containing holocaust jokes, calling various celebrities demons, discussing FEMA slaughter camps, and supporting Alex Jones.
Some of Wheelers ( @education4libs) tweets from his secret account included the use of the word "nigga" and "faggot" (although he was a firm supporter of marriage equality and gay rights at the time).
Here's a couple of my favourite tweets by @Education4Libs on his secret account, for some comic relief.
By reading through both Wheeler's current twitter account ( @Education4Libs) and his secret one I was able to pinpoint when he started getting 'red pilled.' It was when he first started watching Alex Jones in 2012. Hearing Jone's rhetoric forever changed Wheeler.
