STORY TIME: HALLOWEEN EDITION đź‘»

These stories happened in Men's Residence Hall (popularly known as Men's Dorm) during my freshman year in UPLB, AY 2010-2011.

After class hours, most students stay at the TV area to watch TV Patrol and the rest of ABS-CBN's prime time block.
It was a typical evening. The regular tambays of the TV area were there. I was sitting beside Lea at one of the first few rows in front of the TV.

Later, her roommate, @imlukhrisha, who just came out of their room, passed by and was a bit surprised to see her roommate.
"Ang bilis mo namang makababa?!" Khrisha said.

"Huh?! Kanina pa ako nandito sa baba nanonood ng TV," Lea replied.

"Di ba nasa kama mo lang ikaw kanina, nag-aaral?"

"Huh?! Kanina ko pa katabi si Lea."

"E sino 'yung nakaupo sa kama mo nang nagpaalam ako sa kwarto?"
STORY #2: CALCULATOR

It was hell week so my superclassmate and I decided to study at the TV area for our MATH 36 long exam after our class. When we arrived at Men's Dorm, the power was out and only the hallways and TV area had lights on.
I saw some of my dormmates who were at the entrance and greeted them.

Knowing that we would have a little chat, I told Ryan, "Mauna ka na (sa unit). Sunod na lang ako."

When I was walking to our unit, I saw Ryan and asked me, "Saan ka?"

"Punta muna akong kwarto, kuha ng calcu"
"Pahiramin na lang kita, dalawa naman calcu ko e."

"Sige. Una ka na sa TV area. Iwan ko na muna bag ko."

When I arrived in my room, I greeted one of my roommates. Then someone called me from the other room.

"Gem?"

Surprised, I replied, "Ryan?"

"Tara na ba sa TV area?"
Then I went inside his room, and asked him, "Bumalik ka ba (galing TV area)?"

"Hindi. Kanina pa kita hinihintay (pagkaakyat ko)."

"E sino 'yung nakasalubong kong pababa (ng unit natin)?"

And he swore that he was in his room all the time since we parted ways earlier that night.
STORY #3: BAKIT GISING PA SIYA?

This story was shared by a student assistant in Men's Dorm.

A student couldn't sleep that night and his/her roommate who was supposed to be staying at the top bunk of their bed went home.
Then, the student suddenly saw two pairs of legs dangling from the top bunk of the bed, as if two people were sitting at the edge of the bed. One pair of legs seemed to belong to an older person, while the other seemed to belong to a child.
Scared, the student kept quiet and heard the two talking.

"Bakit po may mga tao dito?"

"Kasi nag-aaral sila."

"Bakit po hindi sila nag-aaral ngayon(g gabi)?"

"Kasi natutulog na sila."

"E bakit po gising pa 'yung nasa baba?"
