Writing tip #1:

When editing, change the font type and size. Your eyes become adjusted to staring at the same thing for too long, making it easy to miss things. Suggested font type? Comic Sans. It's annoying af and makes editing go faster just so you can change it back.
Writing tip #2:

When writing smut, LESS IS MORE. Readers don't need a play-by-play of every kiss, caress, or how long it takes to complete prep. Too much detail causes readers to lose interest. Also, don't be afraid to add a little emotion to your smut scenes.
Writing tip #3:

Clichés and tropes exist for a reason, so go ahead and write that college AU, or that enemies-to-lovers slow burn, or that ABO epic. The trick is taking those concepts and making them your own.
Writing tip #4:

Don't edit right away--wait. Give the piece some space. Let the words percolate in your mind for a few days. Forget about it. When you go back to it, it'll be with a clearer head and an objective idea of its faults, instead of reacting to it emotionally.
Writing tip #5:

Commas. We all hate them, right? If you're having trouble with comma placement, read the sentence out loud, pausing where the commas are (since commas indicate where to take a break). If the sentence makes sense, you're golden. If not, edit from there.
Writing tip #6:

If you find yourself getting stuck in a rut, change up your writing routine! If you normally write on the computer, try the old-fashioned notebook-and-pencil trick. This can help limit distractions as the Internet is not easily accessible.
Writing tip #7:

If you can, try to turn off your inner editor and just WRITE without any care as to grammar, syntax, or whether the words even make sense. Written words can be re-written tenfold. Unwritten words only languish in our minds.
