I will start a thread for christian communities in Palestine by posting about a village daily or anything related to us in this holy land.
Mi’ilya معليا is a Palestinian Christian town in the upper Galilee with a population of around 3200 people mostly Melkite Catholics. The town has two historical castles one between its green mountains and the other in the middle of the town, plus a historical church.

BeitJala بيت جالا is a Palestinian Christian town located near Bethlehem. It is home to 200k Christians. Only 8k managed to stay after ottoman occupation and Israeli occupation building the apartheid wall inside the city. Mostly Orthodox with significant Catholic and Luthern pop.

Eilaboun عيلبون is a Palestinian Christian majority town in the lower Galilee close to Tiberius lake. It is home to about 4k christians from different sectors. The town faced a Zionist attack that massacred 14 citizens in 1948 and made many families flee outside the country.
People of Eilaboun were forced to leave their town after the massacre, but returned back after they made their story reach the international community. Unfortunately, some other families couldn’t manage to return and stayed as refugees in neighboring countries and the west.
Aboud عابود is a Palestinian town in Ramallah, west bank and home for 1500 Orthodox and Catholic Christians. It has many historical sites like the cave of Saint Barbara, one of the main holidays in the town. The church got bombed in 2002 by the IDF but built again by believers.
A small church was built again above the holy cave of Saint Barbara after it got bombed by Israel in the second intifada in 2002.
Taybeh الطيبة is a Palestinian Christian town in Ramallah and home to 12k Christians worldwide, only 2.3k in town. The town is “Ophrah” in the Bible and later named Ephraim. Taybeh is well known for its famous brewery and winery, plus the Oktoberfest celebrated yearly in town.
Kfarburum كفربرعم is a Palestinian Christian town in Safad. The town is home to 3k Maronite Christians who got displaced in 1948 by Zionists after destroying the town and are only allowed to return back to the town to burry their deaths.
People of kfarburum kept protesting for 70 years to return back to town. They have a yearly summer camp where people go camp in town to teach new generations about their hometown. But they always get attacked by the police who banned them several times from camping in town.
Jifna جفنا is a Palestinian town near Ramallah and home to 2k Orthodox and Catholic Christians. The town has many historical sites including a 200 years old church. Jifna has local traditions and legends relating to the Holy Family, also known for its apricot harvest festival.
Fassouta فسوطة is a Palestinian Christian town in the upper Galilee. The town is home to 3100 Melkite Catholic Christians. It has a 110 years old church and a beautiful grotto hidden between it’s green mountains.
Ramèh الرامة is a Palestinian village in the Galilee and home to 3.9k Christians from different sectors. The town is “Ramah of Asher” as mentioned in the Bible (Joshua 19:29). The village faced some Zionist attacks in 1948 that made some families escape outside.
Ramallah رام الله is one of the most important Pal cities. It was founded as a Christian town until 1948. The city now has 8k christians (many of those are refugees from other cities) and a triple number lives in the US. The mayor should always be a Christian according to law.

Zababdeh الزبابدة is a Palestinian town in Jenin, West Bank. It is home to 3k Palestinian Christians from four different sectors. The town has many ruins from different historical times and old churches.
Talbieh حي الطالبية was a Palestinian neighborhood in West Jerusalem. It was built in the 20s and 30s by wealthy Pali Christian families. It faced Zionist attacks in 1948 that stole their fancy homes, gave it to Zionist leaders like Golda Meir, and made people leave by force.

The neighborhood had many Jerusalemate Christian families like Tannous, Salameh, Marcus, Snunu, Hagopian, Ayoub, Hajjar, Bisharat, Andoni, Haddad, Abu Shaqra, Giacaman, Habash, Sabbagh, Salloum, Awad, Carmi, etc..
Ibillin عبلين is a Palestinian town in the Galilee and home to 6k Christians. The town has 4 churches and a shrine built on the house of the new Palestinian saint Mariam Bawardi.
Maaloul معلول was a Palestinian town in Nazareth that had a significant Christian population. The village was depopulated & destroyed in 1948. Today an orthodox and catholic church are still standing where refugee people of maaloul come from nearby villages to use on occasions.

Ain Arik عين عريك is a Palestinian town in Ramallah, west bank. The town now has a population of ~600 Orthodox and Catholic Christians and a much higher number living outside especially in the US. The village was fully Christian before taking refugees in 1948.
Iqrit اقرت was a Palestinian Christian town in the Galilee and home to 3k Melkite Catholics. The town got ethnic cleansed in 48. In response to a plea, Supreme Court ruled that they are allowed to return, but Israel responded by destroying the whole town at Christmas eve in 1951.
People of Iqrit don’t leave any chance to protest and demand their rights. They organized a yearly summer camp at the town to teach new generations about their cause. A group of youth decided to return and live in a small room next to the church, but Israel always harass them

Jaffa يافا is one of the big Pali cities and was one of the most important & developed cities before occupation. It had a population of 17k christians in 1948 & only 1~1.5k stayed after the ethnic cleansing. Today only 4k Christians live in the city.(Important city in the Bible).

Reineh الرينة is a Palestinian town near the holy city of Nazareth in the Galilee. It is home to 5.6k Latin, Orthodox, Catholic, and Evangelical Christians.
Safad was a Palestinian city in the Galilee. The city had a Christian quarter and and two churches. The city got attacked and depopulated by Zionists in 1948 including the 2 churches and a Christian scottish school. One is used now as a drawing workshop after removing its cross.

Haifa was one of the most important and big cities before occupation. In the 40s the city faced many Zionist attacked that forced many to leave the city, the number of Christians in 1948 dropped from 33k to 3k only. Today about 20k Christians live in the city.
Haifa is home to Melkite Catholics, Latin Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Maronites and Armenian Christian Palestinians. The city and its mountain -Carmel- are important in the Christian faith and home to Saint Elia/s/e.
Birzeit بيرزيت is a Palestinian town in Ramallah. The town has a population of 2.5k christians and a higher number living abroad. Birzeit holds the most important university in the west bank.
Kfaryassif كفرياسيف is a Palestinian town in the Galilee. It dates back to the Phoenician and the Canaanites as proven by its ruins. The town is home to 5k Orthodox, Catholics and Evangelical(anglicans and baptists) Christians.
Almjeidel المجيدل was a Palestinian town in Nazareth. The town had a population of 260 christians in 1945 and all turned as refugees in 1948 after it was ethnic cleansed by Zionists. In the last 10 years the Catholic Church returned back the church and repaired it (but no parish)
Kufrsmea كفرسميع is a town in Acre, the Galilee. The town is home to about 400 Orthodox Palestinian Christians living in.
Isfiya عسفيا is a town in Mount Carmel, Haifa. The town is home to about 1.1K Palestinian Christians from the Melkite Catholic and Maronite church.
Beit Sahour بيت ساحور is a Palestinian town in the west bank. It’s home to 25k Christians worldwide with 8k staying. Also known as the shepherds field town from the Christmas story. The town had many Zionist attacks especially during it’s civil disobedience at the first intifada.
during the first intifada they decided to stop paying taxes and strike which made the IDF go crazy, invade the town, steal everything even arresting cows the villagers used to get dairy products from them when they stopped using israeli products

Jerusalem اورشليم القدس is the capital of Palestine and the most important city for Christians. # of Pali Christians dropped in 1948 after several Zionist bombings and ethnic cleansing and reached 25.5k in 1966, in one night during the 1967 war the number dropped to half, 12.7k.
Jerusalem is home to different churches: Orthodox, Latin, Melkite, Luthern, Evangelical, Syriac, Maronite, Coptic, Armenian and Ethiopian. People celebrate easter especially holy Saturday with special traditions in the Old City on the way to the church of the holy sepulchral.
Unfortunately today only less than 10k Christians stayed in the city after the ethnic cleansing of many Christian neighborhoods, wars, and the bad economical situation. If they all stayed the number would have been between 100k to 140k.
Sakhnin سخنين is a Palestinian town in the Galilee. The town is now home to 1500 Orthodox and Catholic Christians. Some families had to leave the country during the war and nakbe in 1948.
Albassa البصة was a Palestinian town in the Galilee. The town had about 2k christians in 1948, but got destroyed and depopulated by zionists that committed a massacre inside one of the town churches killing several people including 2 brothers and made their father burry them.
AlBassa had 3 churches: Melkite Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant. Today, albassa Christian make up between 15k and 20k worldwide, mostly living between Lebanon, Canada and USA and they cannot return. Only 300 people stayed in the country living in nearby villages.
After the ethnic cleansing of the town and it’s massacre, Zionist settlers used the churches as cowhouses for several years before leaving them.

Kfar Kanna or Cana of Galilee كفركنا او قانا الجليل is a town in the Galilee. It’s believed that Jesus made his first miracle in it, tourists all over the world visit and marry in the historical wedding church in town. The village is currently home to 2,3k Palestinian Christians.
Deir Hanna دير حنا is a Palestinian town in the Galilee. It’s home to 2k Palestinian Catholic Christians. In 1948, zionist militias bombed a house for Shoufani family to terrorize people and make them leave, but things didn’t go as planned and the villagers stayed.
Turaan طرعان is a Palestinian village near Nazareth, Galilee. The town is home to ~1,6k Palestinian Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical Christians.
Ramleh الرملة is a city at the center of the country. In 1945, the city had a population of 3,260 Orthodox, Latin, Armenian & Anglican Christians. In 1948 most of the residents had to flee zionist militants bombings and ethnic cleansing. Today, around 2,6k Christians live there.
The current Israeli municipality building of Ramleh is the stolen house of the Palestinian Christian Shukri Saliba Rizk. He built it for his son to marry and settle it, but they were driven out.
Beisan بيسان was a small city in the north east of the country close to Jordan. Beisan had a population of 500 Christians, all were ethnic cleansed in 1948. The Orthodox Church was totally destroyed and the Latin Church was turned into the Likud headquarter (as pic bellow shows)
