i have WAY too much time on my hands, so here’s a thread of netflix movies i 10/10 recommend. (some of you may hate them but in my opinion, they are good hehe)
Tallulah (2016)
i wasn’t too happy w/ the ending but still a good story about finding something to live for
Hush (2016)
a deaf woman has to fight off a murderous home invader. VERY suspenseful 15/10
The Vault (2017)
not THE best scary movie, but has a good balance of crime and thriller. has a decent plot twist too
Cruel Intentions (1999)
i mean cmon, if you haven’t seen this movie you need to get w/ da program
Queen of the Damned (2002)
Aaliyah. that is pretty much the only thing i need to say. best vampire movie made TO DATE.
What Happened to Monday (2017)
1 actress plays 7 different characters, how much cooler can that get?
The Perfect Host (2010)
so a fugitive breaks into a house where a sociopath lives. talk about karma am i right?
Unthinkable (2010)
stars Samuel L. Jackson, this movie had me so stressed i had to take a break before finishing it bc my anxiety was through the ROOF
Spotlight (2015)
i love movies that expose the child molestation occurrences that the church & vatican try to keep under wraps :)
To the Bone (2017)
lily collins’ performance is AMAZING in this. 15/10
Okja (2017)
this movie made me feel every emotion any human could possibly feel. HIGHLY recommend
Berlin Syndrome (2017)
this girl starts sleeping w/ this guy she met and he ends up kidnapping her, VERY unsettling. 15/10
Train to Busan (2016)
worth reading subtitles while watching, very good zombie horror movie. made me cry, but then again everything does. highly recommend!!
The Reaping (2007)
if you’re into the biblical plagues then this is the movie for you! if not, still a good watch.
Taking Lives (2004)
Angelina Jolie is an FBI profiler that falls for a key witness in an ongoing serial killer investigation. CRAZY plot twist
Would You Rather (2013)
one of the best horror movies on netflix, in my opinion. keeps you on the edge of your seat & who doesn’t love Brittany Snow?
No Escape (2015)
an american family moves to SE Asia and basically all hell breaks loose as soon as they get there. seeing Owen Wilson in a serious role was awesome
Kristy (2013)
a girl stays alone at her college dorm during thanksgiving break & well some cult members try to murder her. they soon find out she won’t go down so easy. GREAT movie
The Invitation (2015)
this movie reminds me of some Jim Jones type shit, except like fancier
Masterminds (2016)
based on a true story about how the most uneducated ppl ever pulled off one of the biggest american heists in history, I think it’s mf hilarious
Seven (1995)
a serial killer is on the loose that is mirdering people based on the 7 deadly sins. this movie made me SO upset, i couldn’t stop thinking about it after it was over.
Gerald’s Game (2017)
this movie pretty much left me speechless. absolutely terrifying but not in the traditional “horror movie” way.
Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)
classic. masterpiece. amazing. if you haven’t seen this what are you doing w/ ur life?
Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004)
whatever i said for Vol. 1 applies to this one as well.
It Follows (2015)
basically don’t have sex because then you’ll die
Big Eyes (2014)
story of famous artist Margaret Keane & how her husband took credit for literally all her art. such an empowering movie for women out there
The Good Neighbor (2016)
perfect example of a cruel joke gone WAY too far, 10/10 would recommend
Dreamcatcher (2003)
i’m a fan of ANYTHING that’s written by Stephen King, i first saw this when i was like 13 i think and i have loved it since then. GREAT sci-fi horror
Bad Match (2017)
so this guy meets this girl online and then everything pretty much goes to shit. y’all will be in for a surprise for SURE
Stonehearst Asylum (2014)
set in 1899, a doctor is going to start his apprenticeship at an asylum and some really unsettling things come to light & he falls for a patient. one of my fave psychological thrillers
The Eyes of My Mother (2016)
a modern black & white horror film that’s VERY disturbing. i didn’t love it but my gf did so i’m including this in the thread just for her hehe
A Little Princess (1995)
my favorite childhood movie!! this made me cry soooo hard. a girl is orphaned because her father is presumed dead. (keyword PRESUMED *hint hint*) & she is treated horribly at the orphanage.
Amy (2015)
best documentary ever made about a celebrity ever. although i am biased because Amy Winehouse is my whole entire heart & soul.
Blindsided (2013)
thought this was going to be similar to Hush, but it wasn’t. a blind woman becomes a target for some ruthless robbers that are looking for diamonds in her apartment
Colonia (2015)
this movie is set in 1973 Chile & based on the true story of a cult called “Colonia Dignidad” a girl VOLUNTARILY joins a dangerous cult just to save her boyfriend who is taken there. soooooOooOooo good
The Boy (2016)
reminds me of a very, very, VERY, dark & twisted version of toy story lol also i’m in love w/ Lauren Cohen
Demonic (2015)
FBI agents are sent to investigate 5 murders that occurred when a group of ghost hunters break into an abandoned haunted house.
The Gift (2015)
all i can say is this movie FUCKED ME UP. one of the best psychological thrillers i have ever seen
Teeth (2007)
honestly this poor girl goes through SO much trauma in such a short amount of time, but she has teeth in her vagina, so she gets her revenge. LOVE!
Dude (2018)
so i just fell in love with this movie, basically a group of friends are graduating high school, & life just punches them in the face. 10/10 recommend to watch with ur bffs
Raw (2016)
a girl is raised a vegetarian and is starting off her first year @ vet school & as part of a hazing ritual she is forced to eat raw meat. & soon after, develops a VERY strange craving. movie is in french but worth the subtitles. NOT for those that have a weak stomach!!
The Mummy (1999)
such a FREAKEN CLASSIC!!! one of my all time favorite movies, along w. the sequel. oh & i can’t forget to mention that Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz are both smokin’ HOT. pls watch if you haven’t already
The Mummy Returns (2001)
like i mentioned above, also one of my faves. also a classic.
any other “mummy” movie sucks so bad and these are the only 2 worth watching.
