#stocks are risky but the reward can be great even if you only have a $100-$500. I purchased Netflix at $257 per share. I wish I could remember when but it definitely wasn’t an overnight. It’s currently trading at $363 per share. Just imagine those who purchased it earlier

Now the honest side of it is scared money don’t make no money. Wise words a friend once told me. I was up $54 yesterday but down $9 today. It’s rocky and can be volatile. Investing isn’t for the weak at heart and you sometimes will lose money #investing #stocks #ridethewave

So update on my #investing...I started with individual #stocks but I think I may have done it backwards yeaaaars ago lol. Finally diving into #MutualFunds and #Exchangetradedfunds #ETF. There is a world of information out there. Explore...if you can take the risk.

And I’m not necessarily trying to get rich (lol)- lol nah I’m lying I want to be rich lol. #stocks The goal is to get a better return on my funds than I’d get in a traditional savings account. If I lose $200, I probably would have waste that same money in these bars lol

The beautiful thing of being a follower of http://Fool.com  is when the market drops, I try not to panic. I can’t remember who said it on a podcast but he/she was like it’s just the market having a sale . confident in my picks so hopefully they’ll be on the upward soon

Speaking of boring stocks on a Friday night. I’ve been disappointed by every stock I bought shortly after IPO except Facebook (sold it though )- Twitter, Eventbrite. I’m trying to think of any others i may have bought but sold cause I simply wasn’t knowledgeable at that time.

I eventually bought Facebook again but I’m still down...not much but I definitely kick myself for not holding on to my Facebook, Walmart, and Chipotle stocks. I’ve learned to not be so anxious to take money out and not put money I need to touch in the immediate future.

Shopify just may be my best buy yet...I wonder if it’s gonna bust though...I purchased a few shares at $172 and it’s last value was $305.20.... #stocks #notaprofessional

Anyway, on another subject- updating this thread- I doubled my money when I bought #shopify a year or so ago--- can't remember exactly when but then I sold. I'm lowkey kicking myself for selling. I'm debating jumping back in but I don't know... The above June tweet makes me sad

I bought #shopify for $172...it was trading at $646. I definitely liquidated for other reasons but I truly wish I would have just held those. You really have to ride the market and be committed for at least 3-5 years IMO. #blackwomeninvesting #stocks #notaprofessional
