Today is the start if Hispanic Heritage Month. Throughout the month Martin Sanchez & I will be tweeting about Hispanic contributions / connections to superheroes, comics, science fiction, horror, fantasy & video games. Whether real life people in front of a @marsanj47
Part II of a camera or microphone or "behind the scenes" creators we will spotlight them. Not just real people but Hispanic characters in these genres as well. We decided on a wide embrace on who is Hispanic. For inclusiveness we have persons/characters that are @marsanj47
Part III Hispanic, Latino(a)(x), Latin American & Spanish persons living in the Americas/Caribbean. Whether self-identification, acceptance by Hispanic communities & organizations, by nationality- these persons have ties / heritage to being Hispanic. We are not @marsanj47
Part IV wanting to argue "who is" or "is not" Hispanic. We will not go along with racism. If you do not agree with our tweets then that is your view. We have chosen inclusiveness in celebrating the amazing contributions of Hispanics to superheroes, comics @marsanj47

Hispanic Heritage Month #1. Lupita Tovar (1910-2016) was a Mexican-American actress who starred in the 1931 Spanish language version of Dracula; filmed on the same studio sets as the English language version. Ms. Tovar passed away in 2016 at the age of 106 years. @marsanj47
Hispanic Heritage Month #2. Chris Weitz (Mexican-American) is the grandson of the late Latina actress Lupita Tovar. He co-wrote "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" & directed "Golden Compass" and "Twilight: New Moon." He was screenwriter for a live action Cinderella. @marsanj47
Hispanic Heritage Month #3. Paul Weitz like his brother Chris is Jewish & Mexican. They are grandsons of late Latina actress Lupita Tovar. He directed Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, produced The Golden Compass & co-wrote Antz. @marsanj47

Hispanic Heritage Month Day Two (9/16/2018). #13 Emmanuel Lubezki (Jewish Mexican) born in Mexico City; has been an Oscar nominee for cinematography. He has worked on Sleepy Hallow (1999). He won Oscars 3 times; two of which were for Gravity (2013) & Birdman (2014).

Hispanic Heritage Month Day Three (9/17/2018). #16 Jenny Gago (Peruvian born). This talented American Latina has many sci-fi & horror acting credits. She played Det. Zapata in the Alien Nation TV franchise. Other roles in X-Files, Lost, Max Headroom, Freddy's Nightmares, etc.
Hispanic Heritage Month Day Three (9/17/2018). #17. Alfred Enoch's dad William Russell (Enoch) played Dr. Who's companion "Ian" from 1963-65. Alfred has a Brazilian/Barbadian/English heritage. Fantasy fans know Alfred for playing Dean Thomas in Harry Potter films & video games
