In new documents provided by DOJ to @JasonLeopold Friday, Brett Kavanaugh praises OLC torture memo author Steven G. Bradbury for the "work ethic, sound judgment, and intellectual integrity you have demonstrated in your work ... in the government." https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4883828-LEOPOLD-OLC-FOIA-Brett-Kavanaugh-emails.html
Sen. John McCain and Sen. Rand Paul joined Democrats to vote against Bradbury's confirmation last year to a position in the Trump Administration, citing his complicity in the Bush-era torture program. He got in by a vote of 50-47, w/ 3 Democrats absent. https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/14/bradbury-confirm-torture-memos-244897
If you care for McCain's legacy, don't put a man who praised Bradbury for his "sound judgment" on the nation's highest court. At the very least demand his full record on torture be publicly released, so our best evidence of his views isn't random FOIA-able congrats emails.
