On a different subject, I plan to say a few things about Haidt's moral foundations theory.

Leftists tend to regard conservatives as "lacking empathy" — this is because leftists are defective in regards to 4 of the 6 moral foundations.

One of Jordan Peterson's key insights is that "empathy" is rooted by nature primarily in MATERNAL INSTINCT. And the problem with progressive "empathy" is that it (1) infantilizes its object and (2) demonizes those cast in the role of the threat/snake.

Orwell was one of keenest observers of this phenomenon. He was himself a socialist, but came to detest his fellow socialist, because he came to see they did not care for the poor so much as they HATED the rich.

The progressive shows their "compassion" for the oppressed by attempting to control them and by showing outright hate for those they portray as "the oppressors."

It's only mildly surprising, therefore, to see how hateful many self-proclaimed "anti-hate" groups are.

1 All persons can be classified as oppressor or oppressed.
2 All oppressors operate solely from hate.
3 So, it is justified to hate them in return.
4 So, hate is justified — but only leftist hatred of the right.

Of course, the premises are false, but why let that stop you?

Ressentiment, the long drawn-out hate that seeks revenge out of impotence, ALWAYS cloaks itself with the color of JUSTICE.
