Seeing as today is the 20th Anniversary of DBZ first airing on Toonami, I feel like making a thread of some of the most memorable Toonami promos from my childhood growing up. This one is gonna be a bit long lol.

Let's start with the Character promos. Goku's promo was so hard, I used to get on http://CartoonNetwork.com  and watch this over and over waiting for the next episode

Vegeta definitely had the best character promo out of all of them, Toonami went dummy with this one

Gohan's character promo was also fire, look at my fucking GOAT

Piccolo's was cool, its a nice reminder that he's had some pretty good fights (Piccolo vs. Android 17 top 5)

They even gave one to Krillin lol that's my guy forreal

This is the earliest running Toonami promo I can remember. It first debuted in 1998 I just remember DBZ being so different from every other show on television and was just hooked instantly.

Some people don't know this but DBZ was actually running on Adult Swim at midnight, because of that a lot of the episodes that they were airing in the afternoon were reruns so they would make promos like this to catch our attention. On a side note, this promo was all about HANDS

This. Freaking. Intro. Is probably the best one Toonami made. This one has stuck in my head for so many years since its first aired and I love it to death, the beginning of the best DBZ saga.

After the Cell saga finished airing they actually ran it back instead of showing the Buu saga which I didn't mind at all and this promo they did was fucking gold.

The intro for the World Tournament Saga was pretty cool, it stuck out to me cus we were finally getting new DBZ content and I was more than ready for it lol

Toonami really knew what they were doing promoting DBZ man, I could post all of them but I'd be here all night, this Buu saga promo is really really good.

This was the intro that run during the Buu saga I remember this one vividly because I was a little older by the time this was airing

This is probably my 2nd favorite promo of them all everything just falls into place nicely and it highlights all the good parts about the first half of the Buu saga.

This one makes me happy and sad, cus it was the promo they used to let us know DBZ was really bout to be over but it was so good and had me eagerly anticipating each and every episode every day after school.
