My life was significantly changed as a teenager by a gathering called Chrysalis. It shaped me in wonderful and terrible ways and I am unable to say it was good or evil. It was both.
I will always be undoing and re-doing theology I learned growing up - and - I want to do deconstruction work alongside the relational relaties that sustained me through significantly challenging times.
I saw a "de colores" bumper sticker on a car passing me on the interstate recently and I felt kinship and grief and possibility.
Makes me want to dream a possibility for a radically progressive version of Chrysalis rooted in individual, intimate, relational expressions of love that are also pointed towards the whole and the just and the deconstructing and the dismantling/rebuilding
Because all our healing is rooted in the whole.
