emulation is okay only if you emulate up to the GameCube era or the game is insanely overpriced

piracy hurts developers obviously, but most of the time emulation is saved for games that are far past its prime, and if you spend money on it, it ain't going towards the devs
to anyone who complains about this though:

im sorry I don't have $2000 to irresponsibly blow on some super rare untranslated japanese game on a region locked console and all that money will go to some secondhand pawn shop instead of the people who actually made the damn game

BUT IM NOT ADVOCATING FOR DEVELOPERS NOT GIVING THEIR CONSUMERS AN EASY LEGAL OPTION WHERE THEY CAN SUPPORT THEM
