Today's Q drop links to a conspiracy theory that originated on Twitter. It purportedly explains why so many big name MAGA accounts turned on Q-Anon.

The theory basically says the 2016 Congressional Bill H.R.5181 gave $160M to "citizen journalists" to promote anti-Q propaganda.
Unsurprisingly, the theory is very confused.

It refers to the creation of the Global Engagement Center, which is responsible for countering foreign disinformation. "$160 Million" is the GEC's max budget over 2 years. It's not the actual budget nor an amount paid to journalists.
It appears that the GEC didn't get any money in 2017 (Secretary of State Tillerson turned the money down), and $40 Million was transferred to the GEC from the Defense Dept. only this year.

So, the entire department has far less than the purported $160 Million for journalists.
Of course, the other major flaw in the theory is that the GEC is a State Department initiative. So it requires you to believe that Trump's State Department pays journalists to deny all the amazing, secret work Trump is doing.

Not that these things are supposed to make sense.
