I have visited two Rajbhawans i.e. house of Governors 1) Shimla Governor House and 2) Nainital Governor house and I can tell you these post-retirement political appointees are a big burden on our democracy and tax money. They still live like raja maharaja and act like one!

This is Shimla Governor house.
Who lives there?
A political appointee, who has spent all his/her life as a politician with the party ruling at center. Has no work as Governor but enjoy the lifestyle of a maharaja with 100s of servants

This is Nainital Governor house. No photographs are allowed inside governor house. Entry to this place depends on Governor's mercy!

UK Governor has another Bungalow in Dehradoon and the one in Nainital is for his summer vacations
