We have Willow’s puppies, who were born while we drove the #internationaldogbus through the Yukon. They’re bold and chubby and fearless and basically already world travelers.
And we have Glory’s puppies, who were born right after we got back and were conceived in, um, mysterious circumstances. They’re only a week younger but are much more timid than their cousins.
And until very recently, never had the twain met.
But what was the best way to introduce them? I settled on bringing Willow’s pups onto Glory’s turf, so that the more timid bbs would be on familiar ground.
I shall henceforth refer to the litters as the minis and the maxis. The minis, of course, got right to frolicking.
Meanwhile, I snuck off to release the horde
tbh it was kind of hard to get the maxis herded in the right direction. The trailer! The silo! Everything was worth exploring en route!
FIRST CONTACT
But the minis were not about to immediately trust their new and raucous neighbors. They retreated to the fortress of our maple-sap-boiling pit.
Can #MathTwitter please explain how 6 puppies + 8 puppies = 10,000 puppies?
But pretty soon the minis were circling the wagons again as they watched their bold chubby cousins gallop around them
It is hard for all of us to choose between caution and milk
Another important thing happened. The maxis—and one mini—discovered stairs.
But climbing and descending stairs was the least of the excitement
Rest assured, friends. Even everyone’s fav auntie Flame is not immediately sure how to handle 10,000 wailing babies
Pretty soon the maxis—and that one brave lil mini—were chasing Flame around the yard
I don’t know how she did it, but I swear that Flame noticed the minis and maxis staying apart and decided to bring the groups together
