When having dreads you really don’t realize how extremely fast your hair is transitioning and growing. I’m about to make a thread of my wild ass process here:

(don’t grind me up 😂)
Before dreads I was good for a weave or occasionally a simple wash/curl 😂😂
Then a month before college, I literally went through an identity crisis and was like “welp I’ve always wanted dreads.” My hair would not hold AT ALL. I started my locs as plats and it was the worst thing ever. Until I stopped caring. (Circa 2015)
Them jawns were not it, but eventually my hair started locking and different dread sizes were forming (which was also very annoying) (circa 2015-2016)
Eventually the locs started shaping out more while growing and I was actually embracing the process bc it started looking like dreads and not some plats here then a dread the loose pieces of hair. My hair started gaining control for once. (Circa 2016-2017)
Ya girl was living her best life. Rocking styles, wearing it down and just loving everything about my hair. (Circa 2017)
Even started rocking updos. Southwest, no look. (Circa 2017)
But see how my locs tightened/shaped so much over time. It’s so wild. (Circa now lol)
Now we’re here:
I only made this bc I saw these three pics back to back and it’s crazy how my hair transformed from November 2017-February 2018 - June 2018. I’ve came a long way 😅
(In gonna make this my longest thread) little less than a year from this post. I literally be amazed by my hair everyday lol
*I’m 😭
