Refusing to know about things is a valid form of civil disobedience
Ignorance, like exercise, was not regarded as precious in the past because it was always plentiful.
But the nature and methods of the cultivation of ignorance are perhaps even more mysterious than those of knowledge.
One can’t, through will, forget how to read; at best, one can forget, at times, to attend.
