Proof Pawnee, IN from Parks and Rec is really Evansville, IN

A thread.
It’s stated multiple times that Pawnee is in Southern Indiana, so is Evansville.
This one might be a little bit of a long shot but...A lot of people might think south of Indianapolis is considered Southern Indiana, yes, but April applies to Veterinary school in Bloomington, so if it’s more southern than that the closest bigger city is Evansville.
I’ve seen some people think the town is based off of Muncie, because the map of their city is the inverted map of Muncie, but Jerry vacations in Munchies e so Pawnee can’t be Muncie. (Also if you’ve ever been to Muncie that running joke is pretty hilarious.)
Pawnee is fourth in obesity, at one point Evansville was first. It was in the Today Show. Might need to fact check, but still...proof.
Pawnee has a rival with the city next to them named Eagleton. Evansville has a city next to it called Newburgh, which I would say people generally assume is better/nicer than Evansville. There’s not really a rivalry, but people think differently about the two cities.
Pawnee has a festival called the Harvest Festival. The festival has all fried or junk food and only on salad stand that they kind of hide at the HF. Evansville has the Fall Festival. It’s mostly junk and deep fried food.
If I think of more I’ll add them. 😊
Thanks to @lindythetendy we have another one. I.T you look at a map from Pawnee, IN to Washington DC it’s pretty easily noticeable that Pawnee and Evansville extremely close on the map if not the same spot. Look from the tip of Lake Michigan to where he cities are marked
@litamamacita pointed out that they go to Vincennes (S7E3). They say “let’s just head over to Vincennes.” Evansville to Vincennes is about an hour drive. An easy distance to “head on over” They also show Ben meeting Leslie there and Ben and Jerry driving back in a short time span
@jesserobkin @KaciHarrison pointed out that they never mention Evansville in the show, but they mention Vincennes, Bloomington, Indianapolis, Muncie and I could be wrong but I think Gary too. Evansville is the third biggest city in Indiana so Itsweird they don’t mention It.
@BenjaminWoolems shared this damning evidence. If all this doesn’t prove it. I don’t know what will.
