Mahabharata is an INSANE story, here's a thread on some of the mind blowing things it has. Especially, how its various characters were born. Buckle up

1. Paandu, the father of Pandavas, while hunting in the forest, accidentally shot a Sadhu while he was making love with his wife
2. The Sadhu, obviously, was quite pissed. So before dying he cursed Pandu, that the moment he tries to fuck he would die. Super cockblock. But Pandu got 2 wives & kids by the grace of various god-sperms Yama,Indra,Vaayu & Ashvin

Pandu died while he tried to shag his 2nd wife
3. Most interesting is how Pandu, Dhritarashtra, Vidur etc were born.

Vichitravirya, a king, died and left two widows, his mother Satyawati, wanted kids, so he asked her other son Ved Vyasa (Yep the Author) to impregnate the widows. He accepted the challenge.
4. While Vyas was having sex, Ambika looked at his face & closed her eyes coz he was too dark. And hence their kid was born Blind, named Dhritarashtra.

Then Vyas went for Ambalika, the 2nd DIL, she went pale coz he was so ugly, & their kid was Pandu (which means pale)
5. Funniest is the birth of Dronacharya - So Rishi Bharadwaj went for some good old open-defecation by the river Ganges with his buddies. There he saw this Apsara and couldn't resist himself from 'producing a reproductive fluid' (ahem) which he collected in a vessel. (Erm)
6. And from the same vessel sprang out thumb-sucking Baby Drona. As he didn't need a womb to come to life. He was named a vessel. (Drona in Hindi)

The clincher is how Kauravas were born
7. When Gandhari got pregnant, she didn't go into labor for two yrs, finally in the end, she delivered a life less piece of flesh. She was devastated. Then Vyasa (bro is everywhere) arranged for 101 jars of ghee, cut the flesh into 101 pieces...
8. Then he placed those pieces in the respective jars. After 2 more years of waiting, 101 test tube babies were born. 100 Sons & 1 daughter. Dushala was the name of the daughter, as quizzers would recall. <end>
