*Totally* not in defense of Roseanne’s racism (clearly her stance with or w/o drugs) but a little warning about Ambien side effects to follow.

The article notes “Ambien's manufacturer, Sanofi-Aventis, lists warnings and precautions for the drug that include a section on "Abnormal Thinking and Behavioral Changes" — side effects that can include a lack of inhibition.”

And warns that you should stop taking it if you find yourself “performing complex behaviors — like making phone calls or driving a car — without being fully awake.” You may have taken Ambien for years w/o problems and are sure this doesn’t apply to you. It can, at anytime.

I have two friends who died as a result of Ambien. One combined it w/alcohol (she was desperate to get some sleep after a lengthy period of sleeplessness). She was found face first in a pillow—suffocated.

The other friend got up in her Ambien sleep & went outside & fell into her pool and drowned. The sleep that Ambien produces is not like regular sleep; people have gotten phone calls abt injured friends/family & driven miles w/o “waking up.” Near a cliff. Will you get that call?
