Some people have now gathered outside Columbus Police HQ.
I’m hearing chants of “George Floyd,” “Black Lives Matter,” & people say “she was a child” — referencing Legion Lane shooting where we are told police shot and killed who family says is a 15-year-old girl. BCI is investigating.

People demonstrating are now calling for body camera footage to be released. BCI is investigating.
People are still demonstrating through downtown Columbus. Police not too far off – but I’ve not seen any direct interactions.

The officer involved will not be patrolling. I asked if this officer’s actions followed division policy - that will be reviewed. They aren’t telling us who made the call to 911 - part of the investigation. City leaders call this a tragedy all around.
