also i kinda wanna write my final paper on the dangers of parasocial relationships using mcyt and twitch streamers as a lens and comparing the fan bases of people like ludwig and toast vs mcyters like dream and george

like ludwig and toast are creators who know how to set boundaries with their fans and as a result people know not to place them on pedestals or hyperfixate on them whereas certain mcyters let their fans kinda run rampant

simultaneously though like ... who am i to say how people should be fans of something? it’s such a difficult line to tiptoe and find ..

also another thing??? why do so many people infantilize grown men it is so dangerous to do this and harmful to like both people involved
