I've taking the @maricopacounty vaccine zip code data and put it together with median household income. Observations in this thread👇
Maricopa only gives rate per 100k data, so I do not have the raw vaccine totals. Further, everything is calculated using eligible populations, important to remember.
First the scatterplot. With a few outlier exceptions, the zip codes that have the highest rate of eligible 1st dose vaccinations are the most wealthiest in the county. The higher the household income, the higher the vaccination rate.
85264, the Fort Mcdowell/Yavapai tribal land has the highest vaccination rate in the county at 325,882 per 100k. The median income here is $60,569, population is 1,291.
