I have said this and will say it again ..... agriculture is not for everyone...am sure I have ppl here I have done feasibility tests for and encouraged them to hold on to their money a bit or find something else...because of diff circumstances..it's a thread
I know there's a lot of hype and info circulating on social media...don't fall victim to trends...research research..consult experts and also be careful on the type of experts ...some are also riding the hype and duping farmers...Castor Bean trend followers learnt the hardway
Farming is not as easy as most ppl assume that plants will jus grow u sell them and pocket money...it's complicated a lot of unforeseen problems and u may fail to even recover a single dollar...haufe wakada kurima futi....so take time consult plan..verify..study & find ur niche
Crops are difficult to manage..they are like babies..u have to be thorough in providing them with everything they need..and usually any damage to them is difficult to reverse ..so prevention is key..and to prevent u have to forecast possible problems..invest in good knowledge
Farming is a medium to long term investment..hadzisi njuga..it's a game of patience...I run away from farmers who start counting 1usd per head of cabbage and see it as spinning their money...trust me it won't happen...work with 1usd per 6 heads

Be careful of marketers and their sweet language...seed.. chemicals etc.they are pushing sales..they will take pictures at 1 or 2 successful fields..they will never post those of unfortunate farmers who failed with their products..noone posts the background bad news..not all rosy
Noone posts their failures here.Last year we planted 8000 hybrid pepper seedlings & they didn't germinate..took them to pathology& nthing conclusive came out.. probably the guy in charge ddnt follow instruction..I cldnt eat ..I cldnt do anything but that is the reality of farming
I got hospitalized& came back things upside down at the nursery & this lady wasnt taking it & shouting ..I just burst in tears..mhere chaiyo

But in the end with good research...proper planning... appropriate knowledge and expertise we win..our failures are less than our wins...my advice is don't follow trends...be patient...take your time before endulging..let's normalise investing in knowledge #ZimAgricRising
