Care of a QAnon group on Gab, here's the moment where the mob realizes they've overwhelmed the cops and start running on the capitol.
A Proud Boys Telegram channel shares a photo with a caption "Trump supporters set up guillotine outside of Capitol building." (Not to knit-pick, but it's really more of a gallows?)
The number of being streaming into the capitol buildings is nuts.
Protesters are streaming as they break into politicians' offices and put their feet up.
This guy using a Senator's phone to scream about Trump losing the election and "the globalists."
Per one of the livestreams, it seems a whole phalanx of security are escorting the protesters out of the capitol.
It's entirely unclear what happened to the woman who was evacuated out of the building, but the far-right channels I'm following just declared her dead, and then said "this is is, this is the start of the civil war." So it doesn't seem like things are going to cool down.
Seems like another contingent of the protesters who broke into the capitol are escorted out, chanting "blame Mike Pence!"
On the steps of the capitol, a woman pulled a knife (and, apparently, a tazer) as the crowd pleads with her to put it away. She's screaming "let me show you what I'm about!"
Now a guy with a bullhorn is announcing that the National Guard is on their way. A few folks make a beeline for the steps. Then he starts ranting about CNN: "We need to take down MSNBC, CNN...Let's cut the tongue out of the snake."
It looks like things are petering out.

Protesters trying to break into the doors again. Riot cops are firing flashbangs and tear gas.

I've seen a bunch of people wondering why cops would open the barricades to let the crowd through, or why they didn't try to force the protesters from the capitol.

If you're vastly, vastly outnumbered, you can't hold back the barricades, so you bring em down and try to spread the crowd out. If you're one guy with pepper spray, you can't clear out 30 people armed with clubs.
Now that reinforcements have shown up, you're seeing them actually try and push this mob back.
