Sensitization forum for women in Nakuru County on the County Socio Economic Recovery Strategy. The meeting that was held at Christ the King Cathedral Church hall brought on board County Gender teams and 100 women leaders including women with disability.
Women note that GBV cases and teenage pregnancies had increased in @NakuruCountyGov Other unique issues as identified by the women include;

Drug abuse among the youth increased during the pandemic and this could be attributed to the closure of schools.
Loss of assets among women due to defaulting loan repayments after loss of jobs.
Recommendations made by the women include;

There is need for capacity building on entrepreneurship and access to markets to enable them recover from the impact that COVID-19 and regulations that came with it has had on their businesses
