Covid DataI have about 50 tweets to write on my to do list.... I keep finding more and more stuff to write and overwhelming myself

But I'm just going to put this here from today's data.
What IS this? How can a winter virus be so well suppressed - in winter?

We see a 48% reduction in positives since peak on 23rd October.I can think of no reasons this would happen in winter for a winter virus. The restrictions are nonsensical, but even if they worked there has been no big change in the behaviour of people since October.

The hospitalisation & ITU charts also show v encouraging reduction - also incredible for a winter virus in early winter.Either we are dealing with v bad data now... or we are v fast approaching herd immunity. Just in time for that vaccine.

(% positive also down!)
