I have tweeted several times about sensitivity of PCR tests and potential for false positives.
There's increasing evidence that supports this theory and it's time we start taking this issue more seriously.

The reported IA for Madrid started to decrease at the same time as the community switched to rapid antigen tests as its primary weapon against #COVID19.It's true that surgical confinements were in place and surely they've been effective. But they don't explain everything.
The main issue is the overall positivity rate...For Madrid, the overall positivity rate was 8.22% between November 3rd and 11th.
However, the positivity rate for antigen tests according to the ABC today has been only 0.4% during its use!
Assuming a similar positivity rate for the period of November 3rd to 11th, there were only 528 positives from antigen tests out of a total of 15572 positives.That means a staggering positivity rate of 26.2% for PCR tests - 65 times that of antigen tests!
There are only 2 possibilities here: either something's VERY wrong with antigen tests or PCR tests are producing false positives at alarming rates.My retweet at the beginning of the thread leans toward the latter may as asymptomatic rates have been skyrocketing too.
