•The flashiest vacation
•The nicest dinners every week
Basically, the cycle of spending
Someone in the Rat Race
•Makes $50,000/year but spends $60,000
They work to get a promotion or more income
•They now make $70,000/year but spend $80,000
They work to get a promotion or more income
•They now make $100,000/year but spend $110,000
•Makes $50,000/year but spends $60,000
They work to get a promotion or more income
•They now make $70,000/year but spend $80,000
They work to get a promotion or more income
•They now make $100,000/year but spend $110,000
The cycle continues
Over and over and over and over again...

They are trying to keep up with the Joneses

How do you beat the cycle?
1. Differentiate NEEDS vs wants

2. Live below your means and invest
