i think one of the worst looks an emerging artist has is when their persona is this jaded, burnt out, overworked look. with a "performing is a chore", "i just want to be home" type mentality at 20ish years old.

all i& #39;m saying is if a label discovered your talent, develops your brand, connections, gets you on massive festivals and your per show guarantee is more than my salary in less than a year, you prob shouldn& #39;t have a worse attitude then the dudes playing regional bar circuit rock

for the record there is no one formula for becoming a successful artist and i don’t care much if someone “paid dues”. that’s not what this tweet is

and while we’re at it, it was also lame when Warped Tour adjacent bands wrote whole records about how hard “tour life” is as if they were drafted into the army and they’re in a van against their will
