neil and andrew have been hanging together as /friends/ since they met. andrews obv v gay for neil, neils being oblivious but been falling for andrew too. one day its raining mad and they end up under one umbrella. its evening and dark, the streetlights reflecting in the puddles

andrews holding an umbrella above their heads, his right shoulder soaked bc he tries to cover neil wholly under the umbrella not wanting neil to get wet. they talk quietly, neils soft giggles barely audible through the rain, andrew looking fondly at him

and then neil says smth flirty and and insufferable down the lines of how he likes andrew and andrew stops in his tracks. neil looks at him questioningly while andrews eyes get intense, inspecting every inch of neils face
andrew: i hate u so much
neil, smirking: yeah i know

andrew moves closer to neil not taking his eyes from him: yes or no, neil?
neils smirk fades and he looks at andrew, the air leaves his lungs bc of how close they stand, and he almost whispers "yes"

andrew immediately kisses neil putting his right hand on neils cheek. neil steps even closer and places his hands on andrews shoulders but tears himself away from the kiss when feels andrews wet tshirt under his fingers
andrew, slightly panting: what
neil: why are u wet?

andrew: oh my god shut up
and he dives back into the kiss but he feels the need to bring neil even closer to him and the stupid umbrella is in the way. so without much thinking he lets the umbrella fall to the ground and places his both hands on neils face holding him closer

neil laughs into the kiss, grabs the front of andrews tshirt and pulls a little bit to show he totally approves.
so its past midnight, they stand in the middle of the street soaking wet under the rain, kissing and giggling (neil) and smiling softly (andrew) into the kiss
