It’s been a while since I was excited about anything I’m working on, whether personal or professional. When other people say they like something I made, I can’t relate. Most of what I see are unfinished sketches, unclear paths forward, gaping holes, and fundamental problems.

I have two main coping strategies:
- Reset and Recharge. For me this is going to a sauna or a night club or some social setting. Unfortunately not an option now.
- Keep Going. All things must pass, this will pass too. Acknowledge and continue.
I might need more!

One thing I’m trying to learn from @sebmarkbage is a sense of optimism when the road stretches way beyond the horizon. I can get excited when I see the destination but his optimism is more internal. Like “sure we can get this ring to Mordor, but might take some time”.
