I am currently making my way through Anti-fragile and How To Take Smart Notes. And a thought crossed my mind, which @roamhacker very kindly suggested I share with #roamcult. So here goes. Thread.
First, for those unfamiliar with Antifragility as defined by @nntaleb. "Things that benefit from shocks; those that thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty."
Zettelkasten and @RoamResearch helps make our thoughts anti-fragile. I think this happens because you are breaking down concepts and re-arranging ideas. Also, because each idea that you write needs to be succinct yet hold sufficient context.
Thus, with each iteration of your thoughts you are able to make a fully-formed argument. Of course, this does not mean that the argument/theory you come up with is perfect or immune to criticism. But it paves the way for a concrete foundation.
Anyway, these were just a bunch of roughly formed thoughts. I feel like there is something more in here.
Still iterating over these and open very open to discussion.
