I wanted to become a reporter because I want to tell truth to power.

3/ It got me thinking about why I became a reporter and what that means now that I’m the COO. I talked about what it’s like for a Detroit kid, who grew up to be a journalist, to help lead a news organization right now.
4/I’m excited about rethinking what it means to build a diverse, resilient investigative news nonprofit.
