Okay bug friends, I found this beautiful friend with two broken wings outside today. I’ve taken him in and gotten him fed, but what can I do to make the rest of his short life comfortable?

Update- he enjoys crawling on my arms and sunbathing. Currently spending some time on his sponge to get some nutrients while I work. Sometimes, when he feels wind, he tries really hard to fly again, and it breaks my heart. He has just over a 5 inch wingspan!

One week ago, I found this beautiful friend with his wings broken. Since then, he’s adapted to his new home (w/ lots of leaves & sticks), learned to drink from his sponge at dinner time, and practiced his climbing & flapping. Another update! I’ve been noticing after eating, he always flexes his proboscis a whole lot. Not sure why (maybe he’s cleaning it? maybe he’s pushing up the last of the nutrients?), but it’s adorable :)
BEST. WRITING. PARTNER. EVER. He literally just hangs out and crawls around on my hand while I type. So much joy.
