i mean none of the artists i know gaf bc spotify doesnt dictate our lives, but 4 a lot of casual listeners, the spotify algorithm is how they find nu music

& now w them adding “glitchcore” 2 the hyperpop playlist, it blurs the lines b/w 2 scenes that dont have tht much overlap

the only good part about that move was giving some smaller artists exposure

but other than that i don’t think the ppl over @ spotify realized the power they wield or the long term repercussions of that move either
