Something for the weekend? @block_writer at @Cardano has just produced this rather fine guide to staking and delegation. It's a nice primer to learning more about staking and delegation on #Shelley 1/ https://forum.cardano.org/t/staking-and-delegating-for-beginners-a-step-by-step-guide/36681
There'll be lots more content over the following days and weeks, including more blogs and videos. Meanwhile, here are a few top tips... 2/
Pool information available in Daedalus isn't yet complete. As the network matures over the next few epochs the data will get richer and more useful
Ranking is randomized right now. Have a good browse. Don't just jump for the pools at the top. You may find a hidden gem! 3/7
Don't just go for low fees; 0% fees means zero rewards for you if pool's performance is poor!
Think about staking to a pool with experience on the ITN. It's a good indicator they know what they are doing Experienced pool = better performance = higher rewards! 4/7
You may come across some duplicate tickers for the next few days. this will be sorted soon
Meanwhile, if you have a favorite pool from the ITN, and see two identical tickers, check the pool ID against your favorite, to be sure. Many pools have this ID on their websites 5/7
Think carefully about pools promises additional rewards via pledging. There are no guarantees! Remember: pledge does NOT mean sending people your ADA.
Anyone asking you to send them ADA or your private keys is probably trying to scam you 6/7
That's it for now. Why not download Daedalus 2.0.0 this weekend and get to know Shelley? See you next week! 7/7 #ShelleyIsHere @Cardano https://daedaluswallet.io/en/download/
