Meanwhile another group was doing static stretching in the middle of the pitch. I& #39;m not sure why the two groups were divided or why certain players were in either of the two categories

At the end of the warm-up a game was played in which the coach called out a body part that the players had to touch. When he called out either of the colors of the cones the players had to beat their opponent to grab it. I think this was to warm-up mentally

After the warm-up the squad was divided into 3 groups who all played 1-touch rondo& #39;s with two players in the middle. Goalkeeper started training separately. Number of players in the rondo differed per rondo, but always two in the middle.

Schmidt than took over and coached a 3+3v3 game. The players in possession had 2-touches and could make 5 passes max before the ball had to be transferred to the other side. One defender could press inside the zone, the other two had to stay in the middle zone.

Especially at the start the players struggled to string passes together. Therefore there was a lot of coaching on first touches and body positioning

The other players did a quite simple passing excersise on the other side of the pitch. Interesting to see that they didn& #39;t do a similar exercise as on the other side

The training ended with 5-minute games of 7v7 (excluding goalkeepers). Gates were put on the halfway line, dribbling through them were awareded with 1 point. Which implicitly forced the teams to defend forwards and ball-orientated instead of falling back and staying compact
