The desperation of the addict asking for change when nobody carries money

The coked-up, middle-aged man, drunk + pissing over himself

The youth bored into oblivion and getting up to all sorts of tricks

The zero hours worker, sleeping in a doorway with their Deliveroo bag as cushion

The shop assistant forced onto a crowed bus for a shit wage, scared of taking the virus home

And everywhere people getting hassled by the police, keep moving, no sitting, follow our instructions

And who knows what is happening behind curtains + doorways?

Domestic violence, families in despair, no more lines of credit available, no employment likely, threats from landlords

Meanwhile, our government filled with the filthy rich laugh in our faces....What a rotton country

And all this is before we even think about the tens of thousands of needless deaths, the toll on our carers and the emotional damage done to us all

Conservatism, Brexit, end of Empire, relentless racism + a sustained war on the poor.
